I grew up on a small ranch in Wyoming and learned the value of hard work at an early age. As a kid, I loved watching Army movies and was always playing G.I. Joes with my father. My family has a long-standing tradition of serving in the military. 3 of my close family members had served; 2 of them were in WWII and one served in Korea. So, I’ve spent my whole life surrounded by Veterans and have a healthy respect for what it takes to protect our country.
I joined the Army Reserves in 2006. During basic training, I realized that I loved the work and had a natural inclination towards leadership. In 2009, I was deployed to Iraq with the 910th QM CO. I earned my Sergeant stripes when we landed in Kuwait en route to Iraq. During the year we were deployed to Iraq, I lead a squad of amazing Soldiers to multiple bases to help with the "draw-down" operations. These operations put millions of dollars of equipment back into the logistical system; saving tax-payers from paying for equipment that we already had in Theater. During this time I earned multiple Army Achievement medals, a Good Conduct medal, and an Army Commendation medal for my service. I spent a total of 6 years in Reserves, plus 2 years in the IRR.
The skills I learned during my military service have shown me that I can do anything I set my mind to, that I am naturally inclined toward leadership, and that I am willing to take risks and take charge when needed. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country. Today, my highest calling is to help other Veterans achieve homeownership, and assist them in building their long-term wealth through real estate.
